GENERAL INFORMATION:

Handicaps will be based on the lower of your SCGA or VVMGC Tournament handicap and will be used throughout the tournament and adjusted monthly. Prize money for the match play tournament will be distributed at the conclusion of the Club Championship in September. There will be four flights, A, B, C and D. Sixteen people will advance for each flight. (If there are less than 16 players for a particular flight all players will qualify for match play) Matches can be played at any course with agreement by both players.  Rules governing match play will be followed. If a player (s) fail to schedule or play their match in the time allotted they will forfeit their match. If two players can not agree to a match in the allotted time they will both forfeit their match. The tournament chairpersons will assist on scheduling disputes but will have final say on the outcome of the dispute if the players cannot resolve it.  (Flight finals will be A vs. C and B vs. D.)

SCHEDULE OF MATCHES:
Final 64 players (16 in each flight) will be determined in February. Each of the 16 players will be bracketed. Numerical draw for each flight will be a standard qualifying order format. (Ex. 1 vs. 16, 2 vs. 15 etc.) All first round matches must be played prior to the last day in the month of March 2011. Second round matches must be completed by the last day in the month of April 2011. Etc…
               
BRACKETED MATCHES & RESULTS WILL BE POSTED IN THE NEWSLETTER, WEB SITE AND ON THE CLUBHOUSE BULLETIN BOARD.

PLEASE UPDATE THE POSTED SHEETS ON THE BULLENTINE BOARD WITH THE WINNER.

2012 Update: If we do not have enough qualifiers for 4 flights the board will review and rule on the course of action to be taken. These actions could include:
Returning all entry fees
Reducing to 3 flights with consideration for handicaps
Creating a round robin tournament to determine overall 2012 winner
Amending the general information listed above.

REMINDER: ALL MATCHES WILL BE PLAYED USING THE LOWER OF YOUR VVMGC TOURNAMANT HANDICAP OR SCGA HANDICAP. BOTH PLAYERS MUST SIGN AND DEPOSIT SCORECARD IN THE VVMGC BOX BY THE HANDICAP COMPUTER
