Presidents Message: Great turnout for our first tournament for 2012 didn’t hurt that the weather was in the mid-seventies. Winter condition and fast greens made the scoring higher than normal, however we still congratulate the winners.
Congratulations to the winners of the Two-Man Scramble. “A” Flight, John Voshell & George Fundora. “B” Flight, Nathan Sklar & Armando Gonzalez.     “C” Flight, Arnie Jackmond & Alex Diksas.
Next month tournament is our Match Play qualifier tournament. Rules for match play will be listed later in this newsletter and on the web site. (www.vvmgc.com) Remember you can play in the February tournament without playing in match play, however you cannot only sign up for match play. We have started the Points Leaders standings for 2012. For our new members you earn points for placing 1st through 5th in our monthly Saturday tournaments and 1 point for participating in the tournament even if you don’t place. Points are as follows:
1st Place 5 points plus 1 for playing in the tournament.
2nd Place 4 plus 1
3rd Place 3 plus 1
4th Place 2 plus 1
5th Place 1 plus 1
